Château
Lanbersac
AOC PUISSEGUIN SAINT-EMILION
History
It has a typical house called « longère », traditional for the area. The vines of the property are not whole, they are divided in three different geological areas of the appellation : clay on calcareous, clay on silicious and clay on limestone. This terroir diversity combined with plot vinification allows us to create a palette of typicity when blending. Furthermore, the vineyards management is also based on each soil respect.
Some plots, such as the one located in the Bel Air area, have exceptional terroir on the stone plateau of the appellation, creating complex and rich wines. Some others are reserved to the creation of fruity wines which combine purity and freshness.
The appelation Puisseguin Saint-Émilion is a small appellation of 800 hectares. It belongs to the « satellites of Saint-Émillion ». This appellation seduced us by its character wines and the Château Lanbersac by its qualitative potential. Like our other vineyards, we restructured all the vineyard.
The plantation density has been risen in order to obtain a regularity in grape maturation in all vintages. We also planted new grape varietal such as Malbec. We have chosen non productive clones and appropriate terroir.
